Course duration : Course Duration: 104 weeks This course is conducted over a period of two academic years of full time study and consists of a minimum of 20 teacher contact hours per week. Credit Transfer/ Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) : You may be eligible for an exemption or credit transfer if you are able to demonstrate that you have achieved the level of skills and knowledge equivalent to the unit of competency in a course at another institute or through work experience. This is confirmed with the College at the time of enrolment. Work Experience : This course incorporates a practical placement component of 400 hours of experience within the sectors as mentioned by AIWCW (Australian Institute of Welfare and Community Workers Inc.). The AIWCW is the professional body for welfare and community workers in Australia, representing the interests of welfare and community workers.
