Airport Pickup and Accommodation Services If a student requires, CIIS can arrange initial airport pickup upon request. CIIS requires a minimum of two week notice for this service. A representative of CIIS will personally meet you at the airport and transfer you to your chosen accommodation. This service will help to make your arrival in a new country less stressful. CIIS can arrange accommodation for students if required. The types of accommodation available are:
Payment for accommodation is made directly to the provider of the accommodation (usually two weeks in advance). Credit Transfer/ Recognisation of Prior Learning (RPL) College of Innovation and Industry Skills offers a credit transfer/RPL process to all prospective students on enrolment. The institute provides information and support to enable all applicants to gather reliable evidence for credit transfer/RPL, regardless of how, when or where the learning took place. International students in Australia on a student visa are required, as a condition of their visa, to maintain valid health insurance. In most cases this means maintaining OSHC (Overseas Student Health Cover). OSHC is medical and hospital insurance and is government requirement for international students arriving in Australia . CIIS arranges your private health insurance (OSHC) for the duration of your studies. The estimated 2008 annual premiums for OSHC are $348 for single student cover and $696 for family cover.
